A Polícia Civil prendeu, nesta quinta-feira (21), uma mulher de 34 anos investigada por dar uma surra na filha, de 11 anos, com cipó de amora. O caso foi registrado em Terra Nova do Norte (645 km de Cuiabá).
O crime ocorreu no dia 12 deste mês, mas foi denunciado pelo Conselho Tutelar no dia 15. Na ocasião, uma equipe da Polícia Militar foi até a casa da família acompanhada de duas conselheiras.
A menina foi encontrada com lesões e arranhões visíveis nas pernas. Questionada, a mãe assumiu ter batido na filha e alegou que a motivação foi um suposto “mau comportamento escolar” da criança e mentiras que ela estaria contando.
Diante das lesões, a menina ficou sob cuidados do Conselho Tutelar e foi encaminhada para uma unidade médica para receber atendimento. Depois, mãe e filha foram levadas para a Delegacia da Polícia Civil.
Porém, como não estava em flagrante, a mãe foi ouvida e liberada. A menina passou a ficar sob cuidados de uma tia.
A delegada Eliete Gonçalves de Oliveira Veiga deu início às investigações com o caso e entrou com pedido de prisão preventiva da suspeita, que foi deferido pela Vara Única de Terra Nova do Norte e cumprido na manhã desta quinta-feira (21).
